Lance Vaiben Solomon

Australian (1913-1989)

Born in Liverpool, Australia in 1913, Solomon studied at the East Sydney Technical College as well as at the Royal Academy in London. Solomon was a fellow of the Royal Art Society of New South Wales, and was awarded the Government Traveling Scholarship in 1939 and the Wynne Prize in 1946 and 1953. His works are part of the collection of the state galleries in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Brisbane, and the National Gallery of Victoria.
