Carl Lasch
German (1822-1888)
Carl Johann Lasch was born in 1822 in Leipzig, Germany. Lasch was known for his historical and genre paintings. He attended the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts where he studied with Eduard Bendemann. He later attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. There he studied with Julius Schnorr von Carolsfeld and Wilhelm von Kaulbach.
