Maryse Ducaire-Roque

Maryse Ducaire-Roque was a French Impressionist best known for her paintings of the female nude. Ducaire was a student of Emmanuel Fougerat and a graduate of the Ecole Nationale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. In Paris, Ducaire participated in several exhibitions including the Salon des Artistes Indépendants (of which she was a member), the Salon des Artistes Français (where she won a gold medal), the Salon d’Automne and the Salon Comparaisons. She also had solo exhibitions in Paris, Aurillac, Lyons, Grenoble and New York. Ducaire was made a Chevalier of the Légion d’Honneur, one of France’s highest honors for artists.
