Henri Eugene Callot
French (1875-1956)
Painter of nudes and landscapes, Henri Eugene Callot was born in 1875 in La Rochelle, France and first studied in the ateliers of Jules Lefebvre and Tony Robert-Fleury. From 1898 until 1936, he exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français where he was awarded a gold medal in 1920 and elected a member of the Salon. He was subsequently made a knight of the Legion of Honor for his services to art, and also exhibited his works at the Salon de la Societe Nationale des Beaux-Arts.
