Rudolf von Huhn

American (1884-1968)

Born in San Francisco, California in 1884, painter and printmaker Rudolf Von Huhn studied and earned a degree in engineering in Germany, devoting himself full-time to his art in the 1940s. Von Huhn exhibited at the Whitney Museum of American Art, Corcoran Gallery of Art, Smithsonian American Art Museum, Baltimore Museum of Art, American University, George Washington University, Veerhoff Galleries and Norton Gallery of Art, among others. Von Huhn’s works are held in the permanent collections of the National Gallery of Art, the Corcoran Gallery of Art, National Museum of American History and Brooks Memorial Gallery.
