Etienne Vallee
French (d. 1881)
Vallee was known for his paintings of the European countryside, experimenting with different lights and times of day, capturing the evening skies as well as the landscape during the day. Vallee was a student of Auguste Pequegnot and showed in the Paris Salons from 1873 to 1881. His works are in many museums, such as the Musee des Beaux-Arts in Chambery.
