Bela de Tirefort

American (1894-1993)

Born in Austria in 1894, New York impressionist Bela de Tirefort exhibited and was Chairman of the Semi-Annual Washington Square Outdoor Art Exhibition. Best known for his striking New York City scenes, de Tirefort left an enduring record of the metropolis in the decades between the Great Depression and Second World War.
