Born in 1844, Seth W. Steward was a Maine artist who captured the diverse New England landscape with his oils. His paintings depict rolling mountains, placid lakes, rocky seashores and awesome ocean vistas. Today his works may be found at the Barridoff Galleries in Portland, Maine.
