Ruskin Spear

British (1911-1990)

Painter and teacher Ruskin Spear studied at the Hammersmith School of Art in London as well as at the Royal College of Art from 1931 to 1934. Spear was a professor at the Central School from 1945 to 1948, as well as at the Royal College of Art beginning in 1948. Spear’s works were exhibited at the Royal Academy beginning in 1932 and at the Tate Gallery in London.
