Abraham Rosenthal
American (1886-1963)
Born in Russia in 1886, impressionist artist Abraham Rosenthal studied at the Art Students League and Cooper Union in New York City, and with renowned New England landscape and marine painter Emile Gruppé (1896-1978). Rosenthal lived and painted in New York City and Rockport, Massachusetts and was a member of the Rockport Art Association. His work was reproduced in the Christian Science Monitor in 1950.
