Hal Robinson
American (1875-1933)
American painter Hal Robinson was born in 1875 and spent part of his life living in New York City. Robinson is best known for his landscape paintings including many of gardens and farms. He also turned his talents to capturing cityscapes as well as intimate genre scenes. Robinson painted at various locations along the eastern seaboard, such as Old Lyme, Connecticut. He exhibited at numerous galleries including the National Academy of Design in 1896 and at the Corcoran Gallery in Washington, DC biennial exhibit in 1910. His paintings can be found in galleries, museums and private collections throughout the United States. For example, the CIGNA Museum and Art Collection in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania owns RobinsonÃs painting, ìSnug Harbor,î and his works can be found in both the Paydon Gallery in New York, New York and the McDonald Gallery in Washington, DC.
