Marilyn Powers
American (1925-1976)
Born in Brooklyn, Massachusetts in 1925, Powers received her artistic training at the Massachusetts College of Art, the Boston Museum School and through her studies with Karl Zerbe. Her works were exhibited at the Boston Museum of Fine Art, the Fleming Museum, University of Vermont and the Silvermine Art Show, Mystic, CT, among other venues. A plein air painter, Powers traveled to France, Mexico and Portugal, capturing local scenes with loose brushstrokes and bold colors.
