Joseph Olaf Olson
American (1894-1979)
Born in Buffalo, Minnesota in 1894, artist Joseph Olaf Olson studied art in Seattle under Foko Tadama and at the National Academy and Art Students League of New York under renowned realist painter George Bellows. Olson was a member of the American Watercolor Society and exhibited at the Whitney Museum of American Art, Art Institute of Chicago, American Watercolor Society, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and Corcoran Gallery of Art. Olson’s works are held in the collections of the Mystic Art Center’s Schuster Gallery and National Academy Museum.
