Stefano Novo
Italian (1862-1927)
Born in Cavarzere, Italy in 1862, Venetian artist Stefano Novo studied under Italian masters Pompeo Molmenti and Eugene von Blass. Novo exhibited his work in Turin, Florence, Venice and Bologna and at the World’s Columbian Exposition.
Best known for his romantic figurative portraiture and genre paintings depicting the daily lives of the Venetian people, “Portrait of a Young Woman” is a beautiful example the artist’s work.
