Graham Noble Norwell
Canadian (1901-1967)
Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, Norwell moved with his family to Canada in 1914, where he pursued his painting studies with George Reid, John Beatty, Arthur Lismer and Robert Holmes. Norwell later studied in Paris and London as well. He participated in exhibitions at the Ontario Society of Artists, where he became a member in 1924, the Royal Canadian Academy and at the Canadian National Exhibition.
Norwell was known as a landscape painter, partial to winter scenes.
