Aurel Naray
Hungarian (1883-1948)
Born in Budapest, Hungary in 1883, Aurel Naray studied briefly under art teacher and academician painter Zsigmond Vajda. Naray was a member of the Alliance of Spiritual Artists. In 1924 he traveled to the United States. He exhibited at the Art Gallery, Mucsarnok, Nemzeti Salon, National Society of Hungarian Fine Arts, Museum of Fine Arts, Society of Independent Artists, Barcelona World Expo, Venice International Exhibition, Barcelona International Modern Art Exhibition, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, as well as in numerous exhibitions throughout Europe and the United States.
Naray’s works are held in the permanent collections of the Hungarian National Gallery, the Hungarian Museum of Fine Arts and the British Royal Family Collection.
