Jean Eugène Julien Massé

Jean Eugène Julien Massé was born in Meaux, Seine et Marne, in 1856. In 1879 Massé studied in Amiens, then in Paris in Gustave Boulanger’s workshop. Around 1882 Massé settled in Luzancy and became a student of the painter Alexandre Bouché who had studied with Corot. His work is in the Museum of Fine Arts in Amiens, Museum of Fine Arts in Arras, Musée Bossuet in Meaux and the Museum of Fine Arts in Reins.
