David Lussier
American
David Lussier’s impressionistic paintings are powerfully expressive and show a passionate love for landscape. The past president of the Connecticut Plein Air Painter’s Society, Lussier paints on location where he feels he can react with freshness and spontaneity to his subject. The rhythm established in his paintings by bold, thick strokes of paint is intended to bring the surfaces to life and gives vibrancy to his work. Lussier began his career as a commercially trained illustrator but quickly realized that his passion was in the fine arts. He has been painting professionally for more than twenty-five years and has garnered more than 75 prizes for his work. Lussier’s work is in numerous private and corporate collections throughout the United States and has been featured in publications such as American Artist, Fine Art Connoisseur and American Art Collector.
