Karl Larsson
American (1893-1967)
Born in Skovde, Sweden in 1893, painter, sculptor, muralist, engraver and illustrator Karl Larsson studied at the Art Students League in New York. Larsson was a member of the American Watercolor Society and the Society of Independent Artists and exhibited at the Society of Independent Artists in New York, Museum of New Mexico in Santa Fe and in Gotenburg, Sweden.
Larsson’s work is in collections at the Art Institute of Chicago and Museum of International Folk Art in Santa Fe. Larsson’s mural and sculpture commissions can be found in churches and chapels in Jemez Springs and Albuquerque, New Mexico and in Tucson, Phoenix and Fort Defiance, Arizona.
