Knud Larsen (1865-1922) began his life in Copenhagen, yet traveled throughout much of Western Europe. Larsen`s lengthy journeys were a source of inspiration for his paintings, which included landscapes, markets, interiors, portraits and religious scenes. Larsen`s Bapteme d`enfant”” and a study for “”Bette Dorthe”” are in the Copenhagen Museum while the Stockholm Musuem`s collection includes Larsen`s “”Le Pere de l`artiste.”” “
