Thomas Jensen
American (1831-1916)
Born in Apenrade, Denmark in 1831, portrait, marine and landscape painter Thomas Jensen studied at the Royal Academy of Denmark. Jensen emigrated to the United States where he exhibited with the Brooklyn Art Association between 1870 and 1883 and the National Academy of Design between 1874 and 1876.
Jensen’s work is in the collection of the Brooklyn Museum of Art and his portraits of judges are held in the Kings County Courthouse and New York’s City Hall.
