Joseph Jenny
American (1891-1968)
Born in Dornach in Alsace, France in 1891, self taught artist Joseph Jenny settled in Massachusetts when he was sponsored by a textile mill in Adams, Massachusetts to travel to the United States to work as a photoengraver.
Jenny participated in a number of one-man shows at the Berkshire Museum. He taught art at the Berkshire Museum as well as in Adams, Pittsfield and in later years, in Lanesboro, Massachusetts. An accomplished calligrapher, his work appeared on numerous covers for the Saturday Evening Post.
