Abraham Hulk, Sr.
British (1813-1897)
Abraham Hulk studied with portrait painter J.A. Daiwille and at the Amsterdam Academy. After his studies, he spent time exhibiting his works in the United States and working in Holland before settling in London in 1870. HulkÃs works were on display at the Royal Academy from 1876 until 1890. He passed his artistic talent onto his son, who became well known as a landscape artist.
