Edward Holmes

Edward Holmes was born in 1841, the brother of renowned Victorian genre painter, George Augustus Holmes. Known for his landscape, marine and portrait paintings, Edward Holmes became a member of the Royal Society of British Artists in 1889. He exhibited at the Royal Society of Artists, Birmingham; Grosvenor Gallery; Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool; Manchester City Art Gallery; Royal Academy and Royal Society of British Artists.
