Edward Harrigan

American (1910-1987)

Born in Medford, Massachusetts, 20th century artist Edward Harrigan studied at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School before continuing his education under painters Emile Gruppe, Paul Strisik and Marshall Joyce. Harrigan taught art classes from his Rockland studio for 20 years.

A painter of landscapes of New England scenes and also noted for his portraiture, Harrigan exhibited widely and was the recipient of awards from the Copley Society, Cohasset Art Festival, Ogunquit National Art Shows and Barcley Associates.  Harrigan’s works hang in many public and private collections.
