Charles Glize

French (1818-1892)

Charles Glize was an artist active in the Provence region of France, specifically the countryside in and around Marseille in the mid to late 19th century. He had a diverse oeuvre ranging from the highly formal — paintings of Cupid and fancifully-dressed women — to subtle depictions of rural life and landscape.
