Glendening Sr. exhibited from 1861 until 1903, painting the landscape along the Thames River as well as the landscape in Wales and Scotland. He exhibited extensively at the Royal Academy from 1865-1903, as well as at the Royal Society of British Artists, the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and the WalkerArtGallery, London.
