Maurice Ghiglion-Green
French (1913-1989)
Ghiglion-Green was born in Cannes, France in 1913, and spent his lifetime depicting urban and rural scenes throughout France. As an artist, Ghiglion-Green was self-taught and remained a solitary figure committed to his art. Although considered a “naïve” painter, Ghiglion-Green’s works were well sought-after and exhibited extensively throughout France, Switzerland, England and in the United States during the latter part of his life, beginning in 1955.
