Hezekiah Anthony Dyer

American (1872-1943)

Hezekiah Anthony Dyer (1872-1943) was born in Providence, Rhode Island and studied art in both France and Holland. After returning to the United States, Dyer became a leading member of the Providence Art Club and served as its president for nine years. He belonged to art associations in Boston and Newport, exhibited at the Boston Art Club, and lectured at Brown University and the Rhode Island School of Design.
