Clement Horatio Donshea
American (1891-1970)
American artist and illustrator Clement Horatio Donshea was born in 1891 and studied at the Pratt Institute, Art Students League of New York and École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Donshea was a friend of Norman Rockwell and Louis Paul Jonas and sculpted several heads for ventriloquist Edgar Bergen Puppets. Best known for his work with Coca Cola, he was also an illustrator for Red Book, Ladies Home Journal, Saturday Evening Post and several Edna Ferber books and articles.
Donshea’s works are held in the permanent collections of the Roeliff Jansen and Hudson Schools in Columbia County, New York where he taught art.
