Suzanne Demarest

American (1900-1985)

Suzanne Demarest was born in 1900 in the United States. She studied in Nice and Cannes in Southern France, as well as at the Royal Academy in England.  She was married to the Russian painter, Serge Kislakoff (1897-1980). Demarest lived and worked in France and was best known for her charming intimate figurative scenes portraying life out-of-doors under colorful umbrellas at the beach or in city parks.
