Lillian A. Cook
American (1869-1927)
Born in Washington, DC in 1869, Cook was a painter and teacher. She studied art at the Corcoran School of Art until 1898, as well as with Charles Hawthorne, a well-known American portrait painter and head of the Cape Cod School of Art in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Cook was a member of the Washington Watercolor Club and the Society of Washington Artists, and exhibited her works with both societies.
