Adriano Cecchi
Italian (1850-1936)
Italian artist Adriano Cecchi (1850-1936) was born in Prato, but moved to Florence at an early age. He attended the cityÃÂs Accademia di Belle Arti, where he honed his interest in both portraiture and genre painting, particularly focusing on scenes characterized by seventeenth-century costumes and ephemera. Following travels in England, Cecchi returned to Florence to work in teaching, but later opted to devote his career to art, which he subsequently pursued full time. Cecchi also maintained an interest in interior decoration, sculpture, and architecture. His paintings were included in many expositions during his lifetime and continue to generate great interest in current art forums and auctions.
