Harriette Bowdoin
American (1880-1947)
Born in South Hadley Falls, Massachusetts, painter, illustrator and teacher Harriette Bowdoin studied with Frank Brangwyn in London and with Henry Snell and Elliott Daingerfield in New York. Bowdoin was a member of the American Watercolor Society, New York Society of Painters and National Association of Women Painters and Sculptors. She exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago, Society of Independent Artists, National Academy of Design, Panama-Pacific International Exposition and with the National Association of Women Artists.
Bowdoin’s works are held in the Louise and Alan Sellars Collection and the Marshall Collection.
