Wilfred Ball
British (1853-1917)
Wilfred Ball was a watercolorist and etcher who lived in London. Ball became a member of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers in 1882, and the prestigious Royal Society of British Artists in 1899. He exhibited extensively during his career including at the Glasgow Institute of Fine Art, the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool, the New Gallery, the Royal Academy, the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolor, the Ridley Art Club, the Royal Society of British Artists from 1877-1903 and the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers from 1876-1888.
Ball traveled throughout Europe during his career, visiting Holland, Germany and Italy, as well as venturing to Egypt.
